As an example, beneficent charity is universally understood as a human principle of goodness coming from the heart. Although it is not universally practical for everyone to give money and material resources as charity, there are many acts of kindness that qualify, like an encouraging word or the expression of approval on one person's face when they see someone engaged in a worthy struggle. Everybody knows what it is and when we see it we love it.

Of course organized attempts at charity can be corrupt, as the person claiming to be charitable can be a hypocrite; but we universally understand the concept or we wouldn't even be able to discuss that phenomenon.
