The lead up to the war, the subsequent invasion, and the aftermath.......if I wanted the truth, I went to the British papers. They were the first to break abu Ghraib, they were the first to report the war was not going well, they were the first to report the tortures in Afghanistan, they were the first to report the dissatisfaction towards Bush by other nations etc. The American press was virtually silent on all those issues and many more. We have a very controlled press and you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. It took me a long while to accept that fact; in flew in the face, I everything I was taught growing up.
