A reasonable bit of logic there....

Of course it's ALSO important to remember that there are really two different sets of businesses who are always lined up behind the idea of more and more immigration (legal or illegal...).

The 'main street' type business organizations --- mostly smaller business (but some very large, too) pulling for an open tap to supply below minimum wage illegals for agricultural and construction and landscaping and meat packing types of jobs.

And Chamber of Commerce types of big businesses ('Wall Street' types), backing increased supplies of H1, etc., work visas for 'high wage jobs'... engineers, programmers, computer-related, financial, more and more types of jobs all the time.
