I agree with your post. However, I think ASND may dip below $30 after the 3rd qtr earning are made public later this week.

It comes down to hanging in there while the MMs and day traders play with this stock for the balance of this year.

My guess is that ASND may be around the $50 level toward the end of January ("January effect").

I have 2 56kb modems. I think 56kb access is the most cost effective means from a price/performance perspective for using the internet

I believe the majority of internet users will eventually migrate to 56kb service for this very reason. I estimate that most of the migration 56kb service will occur during the next 12-15 months.

The ISPs who provide 56kb service now and in the short term are the ones who are going to profit from the migration to 56kb service.

I currently own 4,000 shares of ASND with a breakeven @38.25.

This is my opinion. Re: MCI & Worldcom - If they merge I am going to then short Worldcom because there are major cultural differences between these 2 companies. Worldcom operating personnel are mostly the folks from Metromedia in New Jersey. The only way this merger would work afterward is to get rid of them and let MCI run the operations. Unfortunately, the opposite will occur. That's is why I will short Worldcom after the merger. Worldcom practically laid off most of the MFS technical people after that merger. That's why MFS has been ineffective in the local phone market during the last 12 months. Maybe I'm crazy?
