For future reference if it ever hapens again. One way to tell is that the part in italics will be a quote that I'm responding to. It implies "you said this", and then I follow with my response to that point. If it doesn't even resemble anything you posted, don't take it as my own statement. You should either ignore it, or ask about it directly.
