<courageous, simplicity, opportunity>

Thank you for all the great words while I was gone and also today's. I think they all were very appropriate for me.

Our trip to San Antonio was a good one and we came home on Saturday, repacked and went to the casino arriving around 9:30 p.m. We did not do too well Saturday night but had late checkout and went back into the casino for a couple of hours in the morning. We both played Blackjack and both won. I then went into the high dollar slot room and played a couple of machines and then sat down at one I have never played before and within about thirty minutes I hit the highest jackpot that machine pays. We were both stunned and shocked, but extremely happy about it. After my payoff we left to drive back home gibbering about it all the way home. My husband told me he would never wise crack at me again about playing those machines. I have been such a lucky lady playing there and this was the most exciting one I have ever won, bar none. I had loaned my husband some of my blackjack winnings and he immediately asked me if he had to now pay me back. One way or another I will get it back but told him "No, but don't think I'm going to make a habit of it. Gambling is my individual sport. And, I knew he still had that loan in his pocket.

It's been a little hard getting over all the adrenaline that was pumping during that time and I am beginning to really feel the fatigue from it all. But now it is a very good feeling of fatigue. I already have some things in mind to spend some of it on, but have to keep a little nest egg together so I can go again and hopefully see if my luck holds out some more. I really thought the odds were against me to win this time, but turned out they were still in my favor. I called home to tell my children about my good luck and they were also very excited for me. I'm glad they are not worried about the times we go gambling and support us in having a good time. They do know how conservative we are, especially me.

I'm ready for bed and will enjoy a good nights rest. Glad to be back and catch up on all the happenings while I was gone. Have to say the GITS are prolific posters and I do enjoy every one of them but I had a ton of posts to catch up on with my Cancer group and here. <gg>

We did go this afternoon to have our six months checkup on our laser eye surgery and everything went fine there. I am going to have a yag procedure on my left eye done next week that I had done by another doctor and wish I had waited to have it by this doctor who did my right eye. She thinks it will improve my sight in that eye, but told me it did not have to be done right now. I wanted it done now. She is just such a wonderful caring person and always has such a positive outlook on things. She has a very large practice and makes things so comfortable for her patients in that she always has coffee going and good cookies and her patients that come around lunch time sandwiches and fruit are available for those that want them. Not many doctors do that for their patients that I know of. None of my other doctors have ever done that.

I am out of here now and good night to all from this Lucky Lady.
