Until I read the financials I do not know who is profitable and who is not. BTW, have you received any financial correspondence from Tyco International? My broker is E*Trade and lots of things get lost in the E*blackhole from the company to the investor.

BTW, TD-Ameritrade is not much better IMO but that is for another post.

I am a new investor so receiving info from my brokerage on this issue is untried as yet but one can hope?

...I noticed the new Tyco International will immediately have a reverse 1-for-4 split. I now own 200 shs of old Tyco International, so after the split I will own
50 shs of new Tyco International
50 shs of Covidien Ltd.
50 shs of Tyco Electronics

May I ask if you plan to, assuming you like the financials, pick up the additional 50 share lots to make for round lots? I *assume* there are many in this position and that it might make for some buying demand beyond any fundamental reasons (see my last post to Rich)

....So... might I also ask you what your crystal ball has on expectations with regards to share price open as of July 2? Mine has been *cloudy of late* <vBg> and may need to be taken to the "shop" for maintenance ... hence my stopping over here (SI) to get a second opinion! Glad I did. Most helpful so far.
