Even if one assumes the 2nd part of your sentence it doesn't imply the the first is meaningful. A horrible catastrophe can still be greatly exaggerated. In any case there is more to it then just catastrophe.

That isn't literally true. I wouldn't bother to point it out but your so repetitive in that technically false assumption. More importantly it doesn't really address the issue under discussion. No significant WMD, or even absolutely no WMD, doesn't equate with the inspections regime not having difficulty, or the sanctions regime being solid.
