Intel has an advantage over AMD right now. That's who I would go for at this time.

Deflation not happening. Housing prices not counted on the way up so not on the way down. As for lost jobs, a lot of them were under the radar anyway, illegals, sub contractors, cottage (cash). Not all but a lot.
Your right, stagflation will bring back Reagans misery index.

As much as anything, the housing bubble was a baby boomer type greed phenomenon. With dangerous repercussions of course. After the dust settles they will just find another thing that's "the in thing".
