Please provide a quote from Bush along the lines of "if we don't invade Saddam is going to nuke us".

Again your attacking a straw man.

And even if you where not, it wouldn't refute my point. Additional examples of irrational thinking don't make the original idea any less irrational.

Russia is an important country. They have a great deal of oil. They control the nat. gas pipeline going into Europe. Its in everyone's best interest to do a little hand holding.

Hand holding, fine. Bending over backwards, no.
