There are several large craters, as much as 62 miles across, in the seas off Norway. There are volcanic ribbons at the base. The ocean floor lacks any carbonate, showing severe acidosis. Methane and methane clathrates were ignited by lava, causing a big bang. Most of the methane was combined with oxygen under water, eg burned, and converted to CO2. Turned the ocean there very acid. Didn't help life in the area that most of the O2 had been consumed, too.
