n the last 9 months my sister has worked at Target and Home Depot, and she is shocked to find that there is a serious labor shortage. Both corporations are really, really hurting for workers to fill all positions during all hours of operation. neeka... the only reason for a 'labor shortage' is a 'wage shortage' 6 people calling in sick??? c'mon....people do that kind of thing when they feel there is little to lose.... biz in this country is addicted to cheap, foreign labor.. i recently returned from a trip scouting out some commercial development projects in the SW.... the agent that was showing us around in the incredibly growing town said that she was a 'native'....i asked her about agriculture (which was astonishing....like $5B per year!) and she told me when she was a kid .....all of the HS students picked produce.... imagine that
