This comes as an absolute revelation. I had no idea it was the union who made the decisions on what models to manufacture,and to fight CAFE standards. I was sure those decisions were made at the corporate headquarters level.
Don't see many hybrids in that list. Mayhaps the UAW should strike to force Big Auto to green up. I'd send them some money for the strike fund if they did.

Here's a good example of bad corporate decisions which we both don't remember, unless you went to my grammer school the same time I did. 1956; school assembly...a guy from GM (probably not union; looked like a "suit" to me) puts a model car on the table. Says this is the way cars will run in the future. Turns on a sun lamp. Car scoots across table, entirely solar powered. 1856. Over half a century ago. Bad union decision to bury that project, I guess.

Did the union kill the electric car?
