Yesterday Clearwire(wireless) broadband took off on news of business from DirecTV and Dish. Its also sympathetic with Sprint Nextel and microwave towers. Without sharing a space on microwave towers, nationwide installation will be very costly.

WiMax is IEEE 802.16e which is limited to 70 mbps(megabit per second) within 10km distance, way below gbps(gigabit per second) target of segmented data transfer. So far, gbps is easily achieved by QAM or multiplexers. WiMax has a way to go but first have to be proposed at IEEE for a gbps standard.

EAGB market makers are not aware that WiMax and iridium satellites is provided by EAGB. It should be also sympatico along with clearwire. Symm which will work with IEEE to get the standard for gbps speed, had a move for different reason yesterday.

The triple play vendors all have to unify the data speed transfer rates. The future should always be around the corner with planning, hand to mouth.
