Close to 10% inflation per year, and stocks and bonds rise.

Of course the CPI number is meaningless, what counts is a managed "core" CPI which is essentially flat.

As if someone could live only from core products. Perhaps.

[the CPI number is often touted as too volatile thanks to energy components. But nobody seems to realise that... the volatility is long gone from energy replaced by a pretty steady upward trend]
