DEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1997--Total bandwidth for ATM and frame relay services is projected to surpass leased line bandwidth in the U.S. by the year 2000 according to the ATM & Frame Relay Industry Update, a newly released report by Vertical Systems Group. ATM services and equipment will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 57% between 1996 and 2000 to $7.3 billion. Frame relay services and equipment will increase to $14.6 billion in this time period, representing a compound annual growth rate of 43%. The leased line market in the U.S. is growing at an average rate of 5% annually and is projected to reach $11.8 billion by 2000.
