Ron Paul starts with the premise that America is the source of all good. But that we can't force it on the world. Classic Founding Fathers.

Amen!

Left's view of the world. America is the source of all evil

See, this is what I don't get. Nobody in America thinks America is the source of all evil. Certainly not the left.

Perhaps the saddest result of the Iraq war is this polarization of Americans - almost a hate developing towards fellow Americans and not unlike what is happening in Iraq between Sunni and Shia. A hate tearing at the soul of the country - each country, both Iraq and America. There seems to be so much hate on some of these blogs; hate targeted towards one and other based on whether a person agrees with their political standing or disagrees. That use to be America's strength, it is now tearing us apart. For some, along with this hate there is an almost loving embrace of the idea of spreading democracy to Iraq. Along with this spread of democracy, a helping hand for the people of Iraq. A helping hand to put the country together again, alas as they continue to destroy it. A helping hand to a population at war with itself - criminals thugs and yes terrorist. A helping hand towards Iraqis - but a condemnation of the same type of helping hand for fellow Americans.
