"Why do they hate us?" does not convey the notion that "America is the source of all evil." Quite the contrary. It expresses amazement that anyone could hate us good guys Except it is a rhetorical question, one where the answer is already known. The answer is: because it's all our fault. If that isn't "America is the source of all evil in the world", it's as close as your going to get.
