You must realize that their our several ways to test for H. Pylori. Even though I own QDEL, I will never use the product. My nurse has to be superhuman to do everything(take care of lab results, answer phones, give immunizations, triage patients, etc.) Now, I don't want to add a ten minute test here in the office and tie up my nurse. I find it much more efficient to order a H. Pylori Antibody test from the lab. Also, I doubt that any physician will do a H. pylori test before prescribing motrin. This would not be cost effective.
