The hyping never stops.

I am forced to post my comments on VIAS on a sympathetically named thread called "VIAS and the Y2K problem". The old thread was called "VIAS: A great stock, but what about the company?" Then we were railroaded into posting on the "sympathetic thread" about the "problem". Heck, there are a lot of real problems out there, and I'll be darned if I can come up with a sure-fire method of getting rich off of any of them.

Funny how no threads are called "VVUS and the Impotence Problem".

"Theme investors" are always ripe for the plucking if they are willing to believe what the dream weavers tell them. Valuations mean nothing to some people. Some people seem to believe that "doing your DD" involves taking a "world market" for a "problem" (let's say x billion) and then assuming that their favorite company will get y% of those dollars. Thus they dream that their stock grow into a total sales figure of y% of x. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY! (Oh yes, and PS there is no silver bullet.)

Bill, it is too bad that your thread is being swamped with people just posting link after link to information about the millenium meltdown that only supports their convictions.

There are just too many people with too much money tied up in these stocks right now. Good luck having a rational discussion.

You would do a lot better, however, if you focused on things like earnings, sales, and what the heck those companies plan to do in 5 years.

Also, on the companies' outright and sometimes monstrous lies.
