I'd have to say that any "merger" of the US, Canada & Mexico is at best a liberal wet dream right now. Libs know that if any such "merger" were to happen they could achieve their socialist utopia quite easily (a utopia that would utterly fail with the most dire consequences on a global scale). Libs know full well they would garner massive support from huge majorities of poor Mexicans & the socialist minded Canadians as well as the large liberal population in the US. This would be easily accomplished by indoctrinating the voting public with populist demagoguery. It would be repeated ad nauseam as fact by the MSM while all dissenting voices would be ignored, intentionally misrepresented & demonized. They would eventually mislead enough people with false promises (AKA - utterly failed liberal socialist dogma) to gain control of all branches of gov't & implement their leftist agenda.

As you know history is replete with the disastrous results of socialist/Marxist societies. And correct me if I'm wrong but history has yet to record a single lasting successful socialist society, has it?

So no, it's not about to happen anytime soon IMO.
