PIRG is an organization that has been going door to door asking people to sign petitions and donate money since Ronald Reagan ran for office. What they don't tell you when they do the door-to-door petitions is that they will be opposing Republican candidates. I do not know of a single Republican candidate that they have supported in Virginia since the 1980's. This is the site for Pirg------ uspirg.org The young people they send door to door usually have no idea what they are supporting---------they simply ask "Are you concerned about clean water." With that being an open ended question, I delight in educating them and encouraging them to find another employer. mj
