Dave, there was a great article I read a while back on research organizations, showing how wildly different they can all estimate the size of the same industry. The article also pointed out how "clients" of some of these groups get favorable treatment as incentive to join. Nevertheless, however flawed these companies are, they at least attempt to do "scientific" research and they publish their results for all to see.

As of yet, I have not seen one reputable research organization that has concluded the Y2K problem is a big hoax. As Bill so adeptly pointed out, it's all well and good we all have our opinions, but I'd like to see some facts for a change!
