"Imagination is more important than knowledge." ~Albert Einstein~ Curiosity motivates venturesome-ness when our natural sense of wonder is piqued by the presence of strange, unexpected, or unique observations and experiences. People too cowardly to imagine power and authority beyond their skin resort to childish fantasies, fraudulently claiming metaphysical knowledge. Shepard, for example, 'believes' in aliens. He challenged us to rationalize beliefs which we have done. We have founded our beliefs on reason backed by purpose. He 'believes' in aliens ... why, because he thinks it would annoy religious people if we found some. Ok at least he has a reason even if it is the usual spiteful and defensive sort of reason. Curiosity requires lucid and vivid imaginations backed by human willingness to crack the cosmic egg. Shepard blocks all avenues to his own imagination. His criticism is projection as usual.
