I know nothing of the sort. Neither do you, although you think you do. It's impossible to know.

It would be a major upside assuming we could export some of ours.

So now you want to go beyond the US not having to import, to having it become a net oil exporter. Its becoming more of a dream. Esp. as a durable condition.

Even if we do reduce our consumption to about balance our production capabilities, we don't have large enough reserves (esp. considering the areas out of bounds for drilling) to continue without oil imports. While the ME countries have large reserves. I suppose you response is that we keep reducing usage, to nothing as our reserves go down, but your being unrealistic.
