Very well said by Einstein. Interesting that you high lighted how even the most simplest of minds should be able to easily get it ... yet you don't. The weaknesses and risks are well known and justify some of your fear, but not your dishonorable cowardice in discussing the subject ... hypocrisy, corruption, oppression, tyranny to name but a few are common pitfalls for the weak of character who've managed a rise in stature among their fellows. These weaknesses in human character are not limited to religious groups but may be seen across social systems.
