Covidian will have a tax rate of 33% versus 25% now. It also has to pay a disproportonate share of the class action law suit and past tyco tax liabilities and interest on debts. This is based on its higher cash flow ability. Tyco's reduction in price suprising to me. It was showing lots of strength going into this week with the big investor forum on Tuesday. Listened to it and not understanding the 22 mill share sell day today. Best to wait a week I guess and let things settle down and have the new stock distributed etc. Only thing to stop this distribution that I can think of is a lawsuit by certain bondholders but I doubt if they would get a restraining order.
