Conservatives have been complaining about a liberal bias
at those news outlets and CNN for years, but we’re not
running campaigns to silence those outlets. And all we’ve
gotten is attacked by those outlets for daring to suggest
they keep things fair. Yet here it is, a liberal activist
makes a few phone calls and they do his bidding?

Is This What Liberals Consider “an Unbiased Press”?

I’ve posted here quite a few times on the liberal nutroots’ temper tantrum over having democrats debate on Fox News, and their alleged ‘victory’ in getting their candidates to only appear on the traditionally liberal-friendly news networks. Now in each instance, liberal posters here have all claimed that none of the other news networks have any liberal bias, and that Fox is simply nothing more that an RNC mouthpiece that deserves to be forever censored from the World’s airwaves. Wither freedom of the press when it’s not suitably liberal, I suppose.

But I read this CNS piece on the liberal “Take Back America” conference, where Robert Greenwald and MoveOn’s Adam Green, the supposed organizers of the liberal move to silence Fox News, essentially brag about strong-arming the dem candidates away from appearing on the network. And in their statements, they seem to inadvertently prove a point Conseravtives have made about the MSM for years:

<<< He also called the anti-Fox efforts “a blueprint for things that we can continue to do now and in the future, which is finding key leverage points to achieve victories against our opponents.”“If we put in a thousand phone calls to [Fox host] Bill O’Reilly, he would absorb that and really not care,” Green acknowledged. “He might even be enthusiastic about the fact that MoveOn is doing that to him.” In these campaigns, by contrast, “we were able to score a huge branding victory against Fox by having the New York Times, ABC News and the Washington Post all write about Fox’s right-wing bias by having our friends concede that Fox is a right-wing spin machine.” >>>

So let me get this straight: all it takes is a few phone calls to their “friends” at the Times, ABC and the Post, and bingo, Greenwald and Green get what they want? Now I could be mistaken, but if these news outlets are as bias-free and independent as you liberals keep telling us, why should a liberal activst be able to call them up and in five minutes get a smear campaign going against anyone let alone a news network? Because they’re his “friends”?

Conservatives have been complaining about a liberal bias at those news outlets and CNN for years, but we’re not running campaigns to silence those outlets. And all we’ve gotten is attacked by those outlets for daring to suggest they keep things fair. Yet here it is, a liberal activist makes a few phone calls and they do his bidding? I don’t want to say Greenwald and Green just verified what we’ve been saying about liberal bias in the press…..but they just verified what we’ve been saying about liberal bias in the press. And the fact that they can show the editors and news directors at those press outlets their obviously slanted work and they take up their fight indicates one of two things: they're either complete dupes, or they already agree with Greenwald’s and Green’s views. Which do you think is correct based on the evidence?

Freedom of the press? Sure, whatever, just as long as Greenwald, Green, and company get their way
