Another dimension - They want government to control the course of research so it can be channeled for the good of the people - as they define it. A perfect example of out of control science is the fact that science found other ways of doing strem cell research without killing embryos - wrecking their perfect plan. It is ironic to me that most of the activist pro-aborts are also big government socialists. Ironic since their best argument is the libertarian one - government has no business in a woman's womb - except to pay for abortions of course.
