What exactly needs to adjust in the global system? The US housing bubble is one blip but it's not an 800-pound gorilla in the world economy, most of which is ticking over pretty nicely now. With US mortgage debt diffused over so many bondholders the last few years, the end result of the implosion is likely to be a couple of burps and little more worldwide.
