There is no real estate downturn in London and Hong Kong, Boston has certainly seen theirs start and whether NY sees one is still up in the air.

The point is that a Sunbelt housing crash is not necessarily a huge trigger or indicator for the wider financial system and markets. I know the SI armchair economists dictated that it must be so, but until we see something more than a typical cooling off, I'll remain skeptical that a few hacks at their PCs know more than the trillions of dollars in the world financial system put together.

If the world were that simple, it would be a simple game. It isn't and it ain't.
