Ni - interesting comments here from two individuals, that nickel has a seasonality to it, demand slows this time of year and picks up later - Message 23641830

Companies had a lot less shares out in the eighties, on average ... and less than that in the seventies, much less ... although they did have more out than the average company in the sixties - i clearly recall a conversation in about '68 with a pretty sharp old guy, who said 'Watch out for anything with over two million out, you don't stand much of a chance, just forget it.' ... times change, new fashions come along

There were more than a few listed on the old VSE around that time with half a million or less out ... they also had less shareholders of course, far less than nowadays, this is what made for dramatic runs as others wanted in ... it's a far more liquid world now - more players around, more money around, and far far more sharepaper [which like fiat currency has a cost of production approaching zero, and which gets cranked out every day]
