Johnny, it interests me that you refer to the laws of thermodynamics as being absolutes. I agree, because they have been proven. Does this mean that you reject the theories of evolution? (this is a new topic) I cheer you if you do, because the second law of thermodynamics, accepted as true, means evolution is impossible.
The actual catalyst that led me to enter a respons to your message, though, was your reference to the message I posted to Christine, in which I mentioned taking a pinch of Skoal.
Christine, it seemed to me, was up on a very righteous pedestal and all set (I may have been wrong, but this is how I perceived it) to condemn anyone who, for example, invested in tobacco stocks. My way of trying to deflate what I perceived as her effort to hold me accountable to either being "politically correct" or somehow unrighteous was to mention using Skoal. If investing in tobacco stocks is bad, using Skoal must be many times worse. I just don't want to even put on a pretense of being self-righteous, if I can avoid it.
I try to do what is right, according to Jesus' guidelines. I choose to do what is right, more out of gratitude to Jesus for having saved me, than anything else. When I do what is right, I can't take any credit for it or brag about it, because the power to do what is right is not my own power nor my own original idea.
I'm thoroughly enjoying communicating with you. If I were more inclined to use the internet ascii "smiley" faces, they would be throughout this and, really, every communication with everyone here.
