Drivecleaner (possible) fix posted by Stockhouse:

Dear StockHouse Member
Thank you for taking the time to report this matter to us. Please note that these particular advertisements (Drivecleaner, etc) are still being investigated. This form of aggressive advertising is prohibited by StockHouse; therefore, you can be assured that we're working to have it permanently removed.

We understand this advertisement is a nuisance. In the meantime, we will assist you further by providing the following steps in order to stop it from redirecting your browser:

For Internet Explorer versions 6.0 & 7.0:

1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking the 'Start' menu at the bottom left corner of your screen, and select 'Internet Explorer'

2. Click the 'Tools' button on the menu located at the very top of the browser, and then select 'Internet Options' at the bottom of the list.

3. Click the 'Security' tab at the top (Local intranet, Trusted sites, or Restricted sites will be displayed) then click 'Restricted sites'

4. Click 'Sites'

5. You can then add the following websites to the restricted zone field, one at a time, click 'add' after each submission:

www.drivecleaner.com
adfarm.mediaplex.com

6. Click 'Close' to close the Restricted Sites window.
7. Click 'Close' again to close the Internet Options window 8. Close your browser and re-launch it again (Step 1).

The 'Drivecleaner' advertisements should now be blocked. In the unlikely even that you still experience it, please send us a screenprint of what you encounter. This will surely assist us in a deeper investigation. Additionally, a copy of the webpage?s source code would also assist us in tracking these ads to their particular source. In order to view a webpage?s source code, simply right-click and select 'View Source from the menu. You may then save the code in notepad and send it to us as an attachment to:

shhelp@stockhouse.com

We greatly appreciate your continued patience and cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely yours,

StockHouse Member Support
