They clearly did not know what they were doing in the Cortez Trend. They drilled 2,800 shallow holes and found nothing but smoke. Up the street Barrick has already found over 30 million oz of gold. Ann Carpenter has only drilled a few holes for US Gold and found far more gold than they did in, what did you say, 20 years. If it was on care and maintenance then how did 2,800 shallow holes get drilled??? Ralph Roberts of the USGS published clear geological reports explaining why elephant gold in the Cortez Trend is found deep. Dr Roberts began publishing in 1955 explaining the geology of the Cortez Trend region. He very clearly explains it in chapter 8 of his book A Passion for Gold.

I don't believe $100/oz cost no matter who says it.
