Friday closing shows the trading volume. Nyse 2.6 billion shares. A slow day would be 1.5 billion shares traded. Nasdaq 3.6 billion shares. NYSE stocks up 200+ down 2000+ out of 8000+ total This shows the ebb and flow of the day trading market while volatile, is mostly long, that had to close their positions before the weekend starts.
