Are you so sure that the crime rate in (for instance) Sweden is so much lower than the United States? And makes you so sure that unemployment is that much lower in scandinavian countries than the United States? From what I understand, healthcare in Sweden is rationed, I suppose this means that everyone has the same access to health care (though some procedures may require considerable wait) - and that is if their medical problem happens to be covered by the National Health Plan. No healthcare system is perfect.

Maybe the grass is just looks greener...
