A doctor is "enlightened" if the doctor solves your medical problem. The doctor is able to do this because of "worldly wisdom", knowledge, as I have previously used the term. Such knowledge only provides transient satisfaction which then goes away. The doctor doesn't get anything out of it a year later.

Not so with enlightenment that comes from renunciation. The benefits of this kind of knowledge don't go away. You're always blissed out. Get rid of that damn junk you're accumulating in the garage and you will get some bliss from it that doesn't go away.
