I scanned your reference. Remember thats on the brady site, an extremely anti gun group, so I would take it with a grain of salt. For instance, I find it incredible that one could buy a gun at a gun show with absolutely no checking. Here in Fla it works like this: If you have a concealed weapons permit, they take down the info, you fill out a form almost the same as the one you filled out to get the permit to begin with (thats the part that showed me records are NOT on one computer with access to every agency) and the seller makes a phone call and within a few minutes they are able to give you the YEA or NAY and you can take your gun. On the other hand if you DONT have a concealed carry permit, all of above is done EXCEPT now you DONT get the weapon. You must show up at a licensed gun dealers shop after a 3 day waiting period to pick it up. jdn
