Off the top of my head:

WWAT.OB looks like a strong solar play.
PBW is a good diversified exchange traded fund (ETF) that holds a wide variety of alternative energy companies (30 or so) from ethanol to fuel cells to solar companies.

Of course there are the battery makers for the hydbrid vehicles and soon the plug-in hybrids and full electrics. I think we will move towards full electric in a post-peak oil world.

Some of these alt.energy stock have run already, but energy is such a massive market and alt.energy has such a small slice of the pie that these stocks have a lot more growth ahead of them one oil becomes too expensive to use.
