All is fine as long as they print faster than they raise. They
have to raise, and conceal the printing, or else the dollar
will fall off a cliff, which it will, eventually. -g-

Look at that Sec. lending
ny.frb.org
That, and the coupon passes save the market all the time. AG
was tame compared to Ben when it comes to printing.

Britain just printed itself out of the housing bubble collapse
last year. Can this work forever? My bet is it will work, and,
moreover, enormous amounts will be printed to support these
markets and replace all the unpaid debt out there
until the dollar starts collapsing. It's hanging in
there for now. Then, when it starts collapsing, the choice will
be between the currency crash (if they stop the printing) +
a severe depression OR hyperinflation (if they don't).
Both are not fun at all. They are inflincting a severe
long-lasting damage to the economy. It's a lot more profitable
to speculate than to actually produce anything. Hyperinflation
takes that to the extreme, untill ALL manufacturing activity
stops altogether, and the whole country is engaged in
speculation in the stock market and goods.
