That and the fact that cars are so much better now than they used to be. You can easily go 80 without being aware of going fast.

Isn't that the truth! The first time I really noticed how different things were was when I bought the z3. It is as if it prefers to cruise at 80 (if you know what I mean). If I don't keep an eye on it, I'll end up there without any effort (and still have cars zoom by me as if I am standing still). None of my other cars were like that - had to work to maintain 70-75 and knew I was going fast by sound & stability. Now, almost all the cars in the family are like the z3 - a bit too quiet and stable and too easy to really speed without thinking about it. ;-)
