If we could establish a betting line on global warming it would provide interesting data. For instance if anyone wanted to bet $10,000 that New York would be under water by 2020, I would be interested in arranging both myself and the other party to place $10,000 each in a bond fund with the total investment being paid to one party or the other. If New York City is 20 feet below ocean water levels in 2020, the other party wins, otherwise I become the payee.
