Pro wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and son were found dead in their home. Police suspect Benoit killed his wife and son and then, himself, but they are not stating that absolutely, yet. I did not know Benoit, but he was a great performer. He was always in top physical condition and had hundreds of spectacular moves. Most rated his abilities to put on a great show with those of Shawn Michaels, Ricky Steamboat, Bam Bam Bigelow, The 1-2-3 Kid and, of course, the great Ric Flair.

Unfortunately, like many of the most talented wrestlers, Benoit was a bit undersized. Promoters would put him in the ring against bigger, green athletes and massive bodybuilders that they were pushing, as Chris was talented enough to carry inexperienced wrestlers and make them look much better than they were. Set up men are paid very well, especially when they have Benoit's skills, but they never get the mega bucks or the endorsements or the movies of the larger guys.

I don't know what personal demons Benoit had, other than being Canadian <G>. If he killed his wife and son, he will go down in the books as infamous rather than famous.

It seems like a lot of wrestlers die young.
