You guys put a lot of faith in that fence. Policing and cracking down on employers of illegals would not only keep more from coming, but would send the the ones here back home, due to the inability to find jobs. They'd deport themselves. Put the employers of illegals into a fearful state, to frightened to hire anyone they are not CERTAIN is legal. By breaking the law, they DRAW the illegals here.

It's the only thing that will really work. A fence is just a fixed obstacle to go over, tunnel under, go around, cut or tear down.

I learned this as a youth riding dirt bikes all over the Texas countryside. A fence will keep cattle in for a while, but no fence stops a person that doesn't respect it. Wire cutters are cheap, even for Mexicans.
