By looking at this map, you can see why Z who lives in NY state may not see this as such a big issue. BTW WA state, OR, and Idaho were not originally apart of what they called Aztlan. That may have changed in the last few years but that part of the country was contested by Russia, Britain and the US. I am surprised the Latino population is as large as it is in Nevada.

What's interesting is that this sizeable population of Latinos in the West did not originate 300 years ago but rather in the last 50 years......from illegal immigration mostly.
