People like Rambi, who go out of their way

Well, I don't go often and I don't go very far because most of the time it all seems pretty silly, and not terribly adult. Mostly I do it when something intrigues me about human behavior, or if I see really grave injustice (doesn't happen often), or is just kind of funny (which I thought the breach of insult etiquette was). This time is was about human behavior, and how we see things the way we prefer them to be than how they are. Michael had thrown a really nasty post out of nowhere at Iktomi, and she responded and they went at it. But you went after Iktomi, not Michael, ignoring his initial attack and saying she started it.

Your comment to me about "guess it depends on who's doing the hurling" was so true, and yet no one around here acts on that wisdom to temper their responses; they just go ahead and hurl.
I can only conclude that everyone enjoys this, as I did my own silly posting yesterday. Had it felt serious, I'd have been out of there, but this was pretty garden variety fluff stuff, for the most part, doing no serious damage.
Maybe that's why people don't worry about being nasty on SI?
It's like verbal bumper cars.
