Then, they shouldn't HIRE the people they can't certify. What's wrong with doing THAT? Companies check backgrounds EVERY DAY, in every HR dept. Don't hire people from other countries that can't prove they're LEGAL.

If the employer can prove they checked, and were shown believable false documents, no penalty for them. But, if they CAN'T show that, fine them severely, and on a second offense, let 'em sit IN JAIL for a while along with a stiffer fine. Third offense, SERIOUS jail time!

Make the CRIME of KNOWINGLY hiring illegals a REAL crime with REAL penalties. The LURE of jobs is the ONLY reason we're flooded with illegals today. End that and the problem is solved.
