I read Lugar's speech and found it excellent- unemotional and realistic, so you and I may have different ideas about where we go from here.

I was anti this war, but always said I hoped for it to turn out well. I doubt anyone wanted the results we got. I would still be against our starting this war for the reasons we did, regardless of the outcome- good or bad, but good was certainly preferable.

All that is irrelevant now, and I think Lugar is trying to get beyond the rhetoric, accusations, and wishful thinking to the reality.
