Paul, please share the name and telephone number of your broker at Edwards who has reliable information about Copytele. I have never talked with a reputable person with real information about COPY. Everything I've seen or heard has been by whisper, inuendo, and third person attribution.
As far as a demonstration of their technology, my understanding is that no one outside of Copytele has ever seen the Magicom work across a telephone system - switches, etc. The instruments work back to back, but the company has carefully refused to allow them to be used in a real situation. One must conclude that once you dial 10-ATT, there must be a problem.
The fascinating thing about this for me, is how anyone can invest in a company like this with no tangible evidence of company effort after all these years. It appears that this company exists only in the minds of brokers and their clients. There is zero mention of the company, its technology, or its patents in the flat panel industry. There is no one interested in stealing its ideas, reverse engineering its products, licensing its stuff, etc. Just no interest, nothing.
There isn't even any concrete evidence that a Chinese plant is functionning. Hoya doesn't mention them as a valued client. Maybe Copytele is going to make their glass internally because Hoya hasn't ramped.
I do know this that the stock price has to go down so that they can create low-priced options, and then it has to go up so they can sell them. The certificate side of their business appears to be well run.
